A brief look into Kollabtek's history

2011

The founding of INGtech and its Engineering Division​

After spending a few years supporting the development and operations of hybrid commercial vehicles, our founders recognized the significant shift in energy needs. They decided to establish INGtech to drive this shift forward, catalyzing progress to a more environmentally conscious future.​

2012

Our first in end-to-end product support​

In 2012, a multi-year project began to adapt European cargo and cutaway vans to the North American shuttle and paratransit markets. INGtech played a key role in the design, integration, prototyping, certification and manufacturing phases, while also supporting non-technical functions such as purchasing and supply chain management.​

2013

Breaking ground beyond borders​

In its inaugural international project, INGtech was tasked with supporting the integration of a new bus platform into one of the largest public transportation fleets in the United States. Over a sustained period, we provided expertise in telemetry, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and enhancing reliability.​

2014

Our debut in electrification​

Drawing on our founders’ prior experience with hybrid and electric vehicles, we embarked on our first electrification project under the INGtech banner. In 2014, we participated in the testing of a new electric motorcycle while also lending our expertise to the development and testing of a hybrid bus.​

2015

Rising from humble beginnings to our own office​

After operating out of a small rented space for a few years and seeing increasing demands for our services, we recognized the opportunity to establish our own facility where we could develop, innovate, grow our team and better serve the industry.​

2016

The birth of INGtech’s Technology Division​

In response to our goals of advancing vehicle diagnostics, enhancing reliability, and reducing GHG emissions, we established the Technology Division at INGtech. A dedicated team was formed to drive this initiative forward and transform our aspirations into tangible outcomes.​

2017

Established as a leader in vehicle certification​

After supporting vehicle certification for several years and earning recognition as a reputable industry partner, we were entrusted in 2017 to support the certification program of multiple international bus platforms for the North American market.​

2018

Advancing electrification in the paratransit sector​

Leveraging our expertise in the electric bus sector, we were commissioned to facilitate the development of a new platform tailored specifically for the paratransit industry. Our services spanned engineering design through to testing.​

2019

From diagnostics to prognostics​

Building on our track record of implementing diagnostic and troubleshooting solutions, we advanced to develop more intelligent systems aimed at preventing unexpected failures, instituting predictive maintenance, and reducing operational downtime.

2020

From roads to rails​

2020 marked a milestone as we leveraged our system-level approach as well as our prototyping and testing expertise to support the rail industry. This marked our inaugural year of transposing our experience to the railway sector, beginning with commissioning and test planning.​

2021

Embarking on our journey to support government-led efforts​

Recognized for our comprehensive vehicle expertise from design to operation, INGtech was selected to bolster government initiatives aimed at enhancing fleet efficiency and facilitating the transition to sustainable transportation solutions.

2022

A year of hauling – electric and hybrid trucks​

In 2022, INGtech made large strides in the trucking industry. We actively contributed to the forestry sector by aiding in the development of a hybrid semi-trailer truck and a hybrid off-highway truck. Additionally, we supported the development and testing of fully electric trucks designed for local delivery and long haul.​

2023

Deepening our commitment to the energy transition – infrastructure​

In maintaining our dedication to the energy transition and clean energy, 2023 marked the beginning of INGtech’s contribution to the infrastructure sector through its involvement in supporting the development of energy storage solutions.​

2024

Founding of Kollabtek​

With the goal of enhancing our emphasis on delivering customized services to the transportation and energy transition sectors, INGtech’s Engineering Division opted to establish itself as a separate entity, solidifying its distinct vision. Meanwhile, INGtech’s Technology Division continues to advance its identity as a leader in telemetry solutions under the original INGtech brand.​
