The role
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop test equipment used for satellite electronic subsystems.
- Participate in the design and development of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
- Support functional and validation testing of satellite electronic units.
- Design and support the manufacturing of electrical test equipment and cable harnesses.
- Produce engineering documentation, including electrical schematics, assembly drawings and bills of materials (BOM).
- Assist in the development of test procedures and technical analyses.
- Support the procurement, fabrication, integration, and validation of test equipment.
Your background and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with electronic circuit design.
- Experience with PCB design.
- Strong ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Interest in laboratory testing and hands-on engineering work.
- Experience with DipTrace or similar PCB CAD tools (asset).
- Knowledge of stepper motors and motor drives (asset).
- Programming experience in Python or VBA (asset).
- Experience with microcomputing platforms ((asset).
- Familiarity with PSoC programming (asset).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio.
- Bilingual (French and English).
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to obtain and maintain Reliability Status security clearance; Eligibility for Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR compliance.
